INVESTOR VISA

Invest in Brazil and obtain residency.

Brazil grants residence authorization to foreign nationals who make a qualifying investment in a Brazilian company or in urban real estate. We assess the right route, structure the investment and handle the whole immigration process, from the consulate to your residence card.

R$500k
minimum for a business investment (reduced amounts for specific categories).
R$1M
minimum for urban real estate (R$700k in the North and Northeast).
4–7
months, on average, from a structured investment to the residence card.
TYPES OF INVESTMENT

Three ways to qualify.

The route you choose defines the amount, the documents and your obligations afterward. Choosing your route before you invest is what keeps the process on solid legal ground.

  • From R$500,000 in a Brazilian legal entity
  • New company or existing one
  • Active partner or manager in the business
Best for entrepreneurs and active investors.
02

Real estate investment

Purchase of urban real estate in Brazil, at or above the minimum value for the region.

  • R$1,000,000 in urban property
  • R$700,000 in the North and Northeast regions
  • Property registered in your name
Best for passive investors who simply want to own property in Brazil.
03

Specific categories, such as startups and innovation, qualify with lower minimum amounts set by current regulation.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does my family come with me?

Yes. Your spouse and dependent children are included in the same application.

Can I get permanent residency later?

Yes. A residence permit is granted for a fixed term first; after the required period, you can apply for permanent (indefinite-term) residency and, later, naturalization.

Do I have to live in Brazil?

On the real estate route you need at least 14 days in Brazil every two years. On the business route no fixed minimum is currently specified.

Are the amounts fixed?

No. The minimums are set by resolutions of the National Immigration Council (CNIg) and are updated periodically. We confirm the current figure before you invest.

Can I buy rural land under this route?

The real estate route applies to urban property. Rural land follows different rules, which we review with you before any purchase.
