INVESTOR RESIDENCE

Turn a qualifying investment into Brazilian residence.

Brazil grants temporary — and later permanent — residence to foreign nationals who make a qualifying investment in a Brazilian company or in real estate. We structure the investment and handle the full visa process.

4–7
months, on average, from a structured investment to residence card in hand.
2
investment routes: company investment or qualifying real estate purchase.
✓
spouse and dependent children included in the same application.
ELIGIBILITY

Who qualifies.

The investment has to meet immigration requirements from day one — not just corporate or tax requirements.

✓Investors of any nationality who invest at least R$ 500,000 in a new or existing Brazilian company (or a reduced amount with a qualifying job-creation/innovation plan, case-by-case).
✓Buyers of Brazilian real estate valued at or above the applicable regional minimum — generally R$ 1,000,000, reduced in the North and Northeast, including Paraíba.
✓Spouses and dependent children of a qualifying investor, included in the same application.
PAPERWORK

Main documents you'll need.

✓Passport and proof of a clean criminal record (from your country of residence, past 5 years).
✓Proof of the investment itself: company registration and capital contribution records, or the registered property deed.
✓Proof of the lawful origin of the invested funds (bank statements, income tax returns, proceeds of a sale, etc.).
✓Business plan (company route) or property valuation report (real estate route).
✓Health/travel insurance valid in Brazil, for some consular applications.

PITFALLS

Common mistakes we see.

✕Investing first and only checking visa eligibility afterward — structure has to satisfy immigration rules from the start, not just tax rules.
✕Buying real estate in cash without a paper trail that satisfies "proof of lawful origin" requirements.
✕Underestimating processing time and making irreversible relocation plans before approval.
✕Missing the right moment to renew or convert from temporary to permanent residence, risking a lapse in status.
HOW WE HELP

What we do.

✓Advise on which investment route — company or real estate — fits your goals and timeline.
✓Structure and document the investment to meet both immigration and tax requirements.
✓Prepare and file the full residence application with supporting evidence of fund origin.
